Rockin Prairie Equine is a lovely, private farm owned by Nikki and Lothar Lendero and is located on 5 1/2 acres of beautiful, western Washington prairie pasture. Nikki is a dressage instructor and trainer who has been riding since age 3. She obtained her BHSAI certification while studying in England and has 30+ years of horse husbandry experience. In addition, she has 12+ years of experience as a Vet Assistant/Tech for both small animal and equine practices. Nikki left her job as a Mammal Keeper at the San Diego Zoo Safari Park, caring for large hoofstock, so she and her husband could take their horses on the road looking for their forever home. In 2017 they landed in Washington and fell in love with the landscape, tranquility, and funny enough, the rain!
Her husband, Lothar, is originally from Germany and caught the horse bug in his 20s. Having owned his own horses while in Germany, he learned many crucial care-skills, among them, how to shoe and trim feet! Lothar also has an amazing ability to fix or build just about anything.
