Retirement
$500 monthly covers:
12 x 12 matted, generously bedded stall with attached “no mud” paddock.
Fenced and cross-fenced with 5ft., no-climb horse wire.
Top quality Teff, Timothy or Alfalfa hay fed twice daily. Other hay can be purchased if requested. All hay is tested for sugar/starch content and TDN (total daily nutrition).
Daily grass pasture turnout with compatible groups (max 3 horses) or on their own.
Close-up, visual inspection twice daily (and throughout the day) when turning out in the morning and coming in at night. Daily grooming as needed. Camera monitoring on each stall.
Stalls cleaned daily, pastures cleaned twice weekly. Regular removal of manure pile and fly predators employed for fly control.
Heated water trough and/or heated water buckets in winter.
Blankets, fly masks, maintenance medications, supplements, vet and farrier costs provided by owner. We’re happy to take care of administering any of these services at no charge.
Fly spray, salt/mineral blocks and worming provided by Rockin Prairie.
Youngsters
$500 monthly covers:
Basic care is the same as retirement.
Horse must have good basic ground manners with no kick, bite, or dangerous behavior.
Rehab/Layup
$500 monthly covers:
Basic care is the same as retirement
